If the death was expected, nothing needs to happen quickly. Sit with them, call family, say goodbye.
The death is confirmed.
At home, call the GP or NHS 111. In hospital or a care home, the staff will do it. If it was sudden, call 999.
Call us when you are ready.
Day or night, a member of the family will answer, and we will come to you. No paperwork is needed first.
